Having the Buffalo Cruiser spawn on its own during regular Story Mode gameplay seems to be an extremely rare event. However if you steal it a second one almost always appears out of nowhere to join the pursuit, and is usually the first vehicle on scene. This version is the only known Police vehicle in the game to spawn with one officer in it. If it has spawned it is usually driving around randomly. This variant seems to be more oriented towards patrols. The only light bar to spawn on this variant is LED. The Buffalo Cruiser also displays a police officer's "shield" badge on its hoods, which is a graphic none of the other Cruisers have. The paint scheme on the Buffalo Cruiser is very similar to Cruiser #2, except the Buffalo Cruiser does not have roof numbers. This cruiser is based on the in-game Bravado Buffalo. The game contains a third different vehicle which is flagged simply as "Police Cruiser". While not rare, the Impala-based cruiser spawns less frequently than the Stanier-based cruiser. It will spawn with 2 officers almost always. This version seems to be the pursuit vehicle as it is usually found driving around, parked in random locations near the PD stations, or in a pursuit of any wanted level. When high-beams are selected, the headlights remain at their original brightness, and the driver's side external spotlight will illuminate. The second Police Cruiser does not have conventional high-beam headlights.
This version of the "Police Cruiser" has the best stats on the RGSC Emergency Vehicles page. The doors simply have "Police" stenciled on them in black letters. It has the same black & white paint job as the first Stanier-based Cruiser, but the white doors don't display any crests or insignias. Oddly, there does not seem to be an in-game civilian version of this Cruiser. The back end resembles the newer 2006-2013 (9th generation) Impala. The front end is similar to the 1999-2005 (8th generation) Impala, but mixed with some of the angularity of the newest 2014 model. There are two other entirely different vehicles in the game which are also flagged simply as a "Police Cruiser", with no other naming distinctions to differentiate them from the common Stanier-based Police Cruiser described above.Ī second "Police Cruiser", also built by Vapid, seems to be based on the Chevrolet Impala. They will not enter Los Santos Customs or Beeker's Garage, making them impossible to modify. They can also be driven through the Car Wash, even with the flashing lights on, for a bit of extra entertainment value. It is rare to find them driving around, but when they do they almost always have 2 officers in them. When stealing it you will usually be able to get away clean if you make sure no cops have a visual on you. This version most commonly spawns in the parking lots of LSPD stations, as well as on ocassion the Paleto Sheriffs office.

Police Cruisers have a license plate frame applied over the plate, which obscures the "SA Exempt" script at the top of the plate. Based on the Vapid Stanier, the cruiser has a " Police Cruiser" badge, in small chrome letters, on the bottom right edge of the trunk lid, instead of the cursive " Vapid" script used on the regular civilian Stanier.
